Led by Mohammad Hafeez, Pakistan Twenty20 squad left for New Delhi on Saturday to play their first bilateral series against India since 2007 amid hopes of showing outstanding performance. A large number of cricket lovers gathered at the Allama Iqbal International Airport to see off their team with good wishes.

The players selected in the ODI squad including skipper Misbah-ul-Haq, Azhar Ali, Younis Khan, Haris Sohail, Wahab Riaz, Imran Farhat and Anwar Ali who will leave for India on December 26. Hafeez said, "We are ready and prepared for the India challenge. We were trained so hard for the India series. We will try to express ourselves without any pressure."

It may be noted that there has been no international cricket in Pakistan since March 2009, when terrorists attacked the Sri Lankan team bus. Pakistan team member met the PCB Chairman at the National Cricket Academy on Friday. Chairman PCB spoke on the importance of the tour, laying stress on coping with pressure and keeping up the performances while being great ambassadors of the country.

Pakistan would be looking to giving their best on the brief tour which begins with a Twenty20 International at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore on December 25. This would be followed by the second and last T20 at Sardar Patel Stadium, Motera near Ahmedabad on December 28. The three One-day Internationals would take place in Chennai, Kolkata and New Delhi on December 30, January 3 and 6, respectively. The team will reach Bangalore in the night through a chartered flight after a brief stop-over in New Delhi.
